Why practice management, not a marketplace
OpenCounsel is a tool a lawyer or firm uses to run their own practice — not a directory, not a referral network, and not a marketplace that connects prospective clients with lawyers. We built it this way deliberately: a lawyer's practice management software should help them serve the clients they already have, not compete for new ones on their behalf.

Strictly practice management. No advertising, no marketplace — aligned with GBA rule LI2423 from the ground up. We do not refer clients to lawyers, rank or list lawyers, or take a cut of any client engagement.
